Joining a Story God Has Been Writing Through You

It’s hard for me to put into words how grateful my family and I are to be joining the Need Him Global family. Over the last 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of ministry roles, including the last 10 years at The Village Church in Dallas, Texas. Each season has shaped me, and I’m deeply humbled by the opportunity to now serve as CEO of Need Him Global.

Recently, I had the privilege of spending an evening with some of our volunteer responders and donors. I walked away with an even greater appreciation for this ministry and, more importantly, for the people who have faithfully carried it.

For 30 years, men and women have given their time, prayers, resources, wisdom, and hearts to make conversations about Jesus possible. Thousands upon thousands of conversations have taken place because someone was willing to answer a call, respond to a message, give generously, pray faithfully, or simply say yes when God invited them to participate.

That is a remarkable legacy.

As I step into this role, I do so with an enormous sense of stewardship. I’m not arriving to start something new. I’m joining a story that God has already been writing through so many of you for three decades. I want to honor that history, learn from those who built and sustained this ministry, and faithfully carry the torch forward.

And I believe there is so much to look forward to.

The ways people communicate may change. Technology will continue to advance. The questions people are asking may take new forms. But the opportunity before us remains beautifully simple: help people have meaningful conversations about Jesus.

As we look toward the next 30 years, my prayer is that we would build on the faithfulness of those who came before us with courage, humility, and expectancy. May we steward what has been entrusted to us well, remain attentive to where God is leading, and continue creating opportunities for people everywhere to encounter the hope of Jesus.

To everyone who has carried the torch to this point: thank you. I am honored to join you, and I’m excited to see where God leads us together.
