New Board Member Profile: Ben Chacko

Ben lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Sheryl, and their three children. Raised in the church, Ben came to know the importance of faith early in life, but over time, that faith has grown into something deeper. It now shapes how he lives, leads, and serves. Throughout the years, he has had the opportunity to serve in many roles within his local church, including Sunday School teacher, VBS coordinator, Men’s ministry, and volunteering in a variety of ways.

A verse that has become central to Ben and his family is Philippians 2:4: “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” This verse has challenged and shaped their perspective by calling them to live outwardly, to serve intentionally, and to invest in the lives of others in a way that reflects Christ.

Professionally, Ben works with large organizations to help them grow, navigate change, and improve how they operate. He spends much of his time helping leadership teams think through strategy, solve complex challenges, and build for the future. Over time, he has come to see that the principles of serving others, creating impact, and stewarding opportunities well are not just business principles, but Kingdom principles.

In 2025, Ben and Sheryl were introduced to Need Him Global at a ministry event. From that moment, something resonated deeply. Ben remembers thinking, “How come more people don’t know about this?” As he learned more, it became clear that this ministry was meeting people right where they are and pointing them to the hope found in Jesus.

When he was later invited to join the Board, Ben spent time in prayer, seeking clarity and direction. Through that time, he felt a clear conviction from the Lord not just to be involved, but to actively help grow and expand the reach of this ministry so that more people can encounter Christ.

Ben is passionate about using both his personal faith and professional experience to serve Need Him. His heart is to help the ministry grow in reach and impact, while staying grounded in its mission so that more people can experience the love, hope, and life found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
