New Board Member Profile: Kristen Ainsworth

Kristen lives in Dallas with her husband, Kevin, and their 14-year-old son, Logan. They are active members of Northwest Bible Church, where Kristen’s passion for service extends beyond Sunday worship. She also dedicates her time to volunteering with multiple faith-based organizations throughout their community.

Growing up as a minister’s daughter shaped Kristen’s deep commitment to faith and service from an early age. This foundation guided her through a successful 12-year career in public education, where she served as both a teacher and administrator. The Lord then led her to pursue seminary where she earned a Theology degree and shifted her focus to local church ministry.

Throughout her adult life, Kristen has embraced diverse ministry roles, serving as a minister, Bible teacher, recovery leader, worship leader, and women’s discipleship mentor. Currently, Kristen has the privilege of combining her two loves of education and ministry as an adjunct professor at a Christian university. She remains actively engaged in her local congregation, regularly leading Women’s Bible Study sessions and speaking at women’s events.

In 2023, Kristen and Kevin attended a ministry event where they first encountered Need Him’s powerful work. The organization’s mission and vision immediately connected with them, aligning with their shared passion for ministry and global outreach. Kristen felt an immediate calling to serve as a Responder, and her online interactions and prayer with seekers have been life-giving and, she would say, addicting in the best way.

When approached about joining the Board, Kristen joyfully embraced the opportunity to deepen her involvement in advancing God’s Kingdom through the ministry. She is energized to help ensure Need Him remains a strong online presence for those who are seeking to know and experience the love and life found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Kristen is excited about expanding the ministry’s reach and inviting others to participate in God’s work through Need Him. With a heart attuned to the abundant opportunities for spiritual harvest, she is committed to the work that lies ahead.
